PATRICIA GREENWELL BA NAPA Patricia obtained a degree in Fine Art at Durham University (Newcastle) in 1960 NAPA indicates full membership of the National Association of Painters in Acrylic. Husband Alan is her framer and manages her correspondence, photographs, and records, prints her work and maintains her website.

Patricia exhibits locally with a number of local art societies, including The Fosseway Society,  Highworth Artists Society, and Lechlade Art Society, and has exhibited at the following venues:- Royal West of England Academy, Bristol (winner of the Cornelissen watercolour prize, 1997) Alexander Gallery, Bristol St James' Gallery, Bath       Handel House Gallery, Devizes Devizes  Museum Gallery, (winner of the Oexmann prize for drawing 1999).  Solo exhibition 2002. Westminster Central Hall Gallery (United Artists, The Society of Women Artists, and  NAPA) The Art Gallery, Lindos, Rhodes  DLI Gallery, Durham City (winner of NAPA prize for the most appropriate use of medium 2000)  Desmoulin Gallery, Newbury Spring Festival, Spink open competition.  Works selected for exhibition '99, 2000 and 2001.  Exhibitor 2002./3/4 The Arts Centre, Swindon, one man exhibitions in 1997 and 2000 The Croft Gallery, Swindon The Mall Galleries, London, the Pastel Society Open Exhibition, 2001, 2002 The Thin Dog Gallery in Cirencester  2004, 2005 She gives demonstrations and workshops on the theory and practice of her preferred media.  She also tutors a painting holiday in June each year on the west coast of Ireland (Kilkee). PUBLICATION     International Pastel Artist  Nov/Dec iss 2001.   Article, with photographs, titled  "Texture, texture everywhere".  Describes how she achieves strong textures in her pastel paintings by the use of acrylics.  Contact Patricia if you are interested in receiving copies of the article.
